APA 2001 Annual Artist Competition

The APA would like to extend congratulations and gratitude to all the entrants and judges for the Artist Competition that took place in Lincoln, NE over the weekend of November 3, 2001. There were a total of 24 pieces submitted in the three divisions. Adult, 14-18 and 13 & under from all points of the United States and Canada.

Our panel of judges consisted of Phyllis Urch, Ruth Vaughn and Jeanie Thomforde. The judging took place on Saturday morning commencing at 9:00 AM. When the judging was completed the winning pieces were as follows:

Adult division: 1^st Ellie Hamblin from Lake View Terrace, CA entitled "Reserve of Show # 32 Brown Red. 2^nd Steven D. Rogers from Los Angeles, CA entitled "Black Tailed White Japanese".? 3^rd Kristina Carle from Warren, NJ entitled? "Champion of Show".?

14-18 division: 1^st Alyssa Christy from Edgewood, NM entitled "Americauna" 2^nd Sophia De Martini from Cloverdale, CA entitled "Mallard"

13 & under: 1^st Stephanie Soriano? from Bellaire, TX entitled "A day for the ducks", 2^nd? Stephanie Soriano entitled "unnamed", 3^rd Stephanie Soriano entitled "In the Air".?

The next competition will be at the Annual slated for Columbus, OH in November of 2002.?
